I love ILOILO. This is the home of my forefathers. We evacuated here for safetyin December 1941 when the Imperial Forces of Japan attacked the Philippines, placed our lives in uncertainty conditions after mercifully disrupted our peaceful way of life. Our immediate family went through insurmountable difficult times. I spent many lonely sacrifices but after the war wonderful memories happened.

Spent the first 11 years of my life in Jaro, Iloilo. Immigrated to Makati for another 19 years and now live in Denver, Colorado, USA. If anyone read this blog and happen to know the closest kin of Patrocinio Gamboa, could you please forward this comment for I am dying to contact them. I used to live with Lola Patron and Aunt Anita Buenconsejo when I was a little girl. Visiting the former home of Lola Patron on M Jayme and Commission Civil, that I'm quite familiar with, brought back lots of memories. All my life, I've wondered to what had happened if Lola Patron had lived a bit longer. My aunt and I were displaced after her death. I will be visiting Iloilo again and hopefully, I could connect with the surviving nearest relative. I am an optimist and I know deep in my heart that one of these days soon something or someone would turn up. Thank you.
